You need custom firmware to get nitePR.
PSN becomes available with firmware 5.00 or higher.

yea u have to get cfw and psnabler
1-cfw if u got psp 1000 http://www.codinghs.com/forums/showt...-been-released <--- the newest custom firmware , btw only works with psp 1000
2-psnabler http://www.codinghs.com/forums/showt...lay-psn-games-) <--final with socom 3 patch

So if I get CFW 5.00 for my 1000 (which is 3.71) It'll still work and have PSN even though it was a lower OFW?

uhh , u didnt understand what i said? lol , u have to get something called psnabler , psnabler only works with 5.00m33 or higher
