The goods about it is that it has a good price, slimmer, more compact design with quieter operation, all games are in high-definition, easy-to-use interface, doubles as a Blu-ray and upscaling DVD player, built-in Wi-Fi, 120GB hard drive, HDMI output with 1080p support, no external power supply, built-in Web browser, and a free online gaming service. I myself am going to buy one.

Get the original, it looks so much better, and the slim isn't "slimmer" its just shorter tall wise. Old PS3s are the way to go, mines an old one and I wouldn't trade it for 2 Slims

So are the old PS3s but the slim can't do backwards compatibility at all can it? And if you want more memory on your PS3 just buy a bigger internal hardrive it isn't that hard and all the PS3s a cheaper alot cheaper i got my ps3 for 500$ so yea.

the phat ps3s also have "Install other OS" so u can install linux on it too, but for same price u get 40gb more without other OS on slim.

I might get a Slim PS3 some time. If the Slim didn't come out I would never get it for sure. It takes up a lot of space.
Slim PS3 will just replace my Slim PS2.
    I FAIL AT FAILING.
