Ps3 or Ps3 Slim

The slim version uses a more efficient chip so it's quieter and less likely to overheat. Also, it has a decent sized hard drive for it's price. Rumor is that a FW update will add a PS2 emulator, allowing all PS3's to be backword compatible.

The current PS3 is almost silent anyways. Put it next to a 360 if you think it's loud.

if u want a ps3 that can play ps2 or ps1, buy a backwards compatible one on ebay ;)

The original PS3's (60gb models) have a higher fail rate than any other model.
