    The slim version uses a more efficient chip so it's quieter and less likely to overheat. Also, it has a decent sized hard drive for it's price. Rumor is that a FW update will add a PS2 emulator, allowing all PS3's to be backword compatible.

    in addition to that, take a look at the fan inside a ps3 slim...



    That's a 12V, 1.3A, 95 mm diameter, 17 blade fan.
    and, not only is it huge and hopefully more than sufficient for cooling, it's also apparently quiet. Which is good, cause then you won't have to struggle to hear the gameplay sounds over a jet engine keeping your ps3 cool. xD

    2. fat is upgradable, might be good size....for now
    3. only place you make a valid point, but if its for all PS2's....who cares? update, you have to anyway.
