Couple of problems

First off. what should my custom firmware look like under system info? For me i have 3.40 OE-A whatever that last part means.

Second, When i try to go under comfiguration under my recovery menu, the screen goes light blue (normal) but the text dosent show, and it shuts off on me

And this is an added one.. What the **** is the black line in the middle of my screen about? Its like a 1/5 inch from the top of the screen, goin left to right. It annoys me so..... freakin....much.

1. OE-A means open edition A, your PSP is hacked and good to go, but needs some updating.
2. once you update this problem is gone.
3. im going to assume your screen MAY be cracked, again update and that might fix it(if the screen isnt cracked)

tnx (typin on psp)ive been tryin to upgrd it to 5.00 but dling it the wifi dont come on

is it meant to? i let it sit 4 a hour and no progress

if your on 3.40OE-A you cant update using the PSP's wifi, or you will removed your CFW, so DO NOT update via wifi, get on a computer and get the files to update your psp!

Im trying to get 5.00 But i dont know exactly what to do.. I get the cfw from that one thread but i get it, then it says 5.00 does not exist. Would you like to download form the internet?

And i dont know what files i need..

you should just have to press the X button?
look on screen what it tells you to do, you want to download the file, so im pritty sure its X button.

You can't jump from 3.40 OE-A to 5.00 M33 right away. You first have to update to 3.52 M33 then (possibly 3.71 M33-2, first before M33-4) > 3.71 M33-4 or just to 3.71 M33-2 > M33-4 from 3.40 OE-A. If i can remember right when i was on that cfw...

ok from 3.40OE-A you NEED to update to 3.52m33, once there you can go to 5.00m33
