The PSP's Brand New Day
Sony talks about the PSP's future and the PlayStation Team chimes in.

February 27, 2009 - Up until Monday, the PSP sucked -- there were no games, batteries were being used as projectiles and the systems were giving people cancer. Then, Tuesday, a bunch of games were announced at Destination PlayStation and everything was fixed.

OK. Things weren't that bad -- there are actually a lot of games for the PSP, batteries were in perfect working order and the systems aren't hurting anyone. Still, people were pretty down on the portable after an extremely lackluster 2008 that featured few games and a less-than-trusting outlook on Sony's promise that 2009 would bring a plethora of titles. Then, Tuesday brought word of Rock Band Unplugged, MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, Assassin's Creed Portable, and LittleBigPlanet Portable. The announcements didn't solve everything, but they definitely give the handheld a boost of goodwill and that's something PSP fans have been waiting for.

With the PSP renaissance as a backdrop, the IGN PlayStation Team thought it was a good idea to bring back John Koller, the director of hardware marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment. Below is a candid, in-depth conversation with the man about the PSP and its future, followed by the IGN PlayStation Team ranting and raving about what they want to see in the latest crop of PSP games.

I think this is awesome, Maybe help boost the psp system.
Ill deffinatly be buying Assassins Creed And LittleBigPlanet.

hmmmm. sounds pretty cool, actually. i guess sony's seeing if they can bring the psp back from the dead. good luck to them.
