Rumor: Sony working on new Syphon Filter for PS3

A particularly watchful, Columbo-esque reader at Kotaku recently put a few widespread pieces of information together to draw an intriguing conclusion -- Sony Bend, the studio behind every Syphon Filter title to date, recently put up a help wanted ad calling for a full-time game tools programmer with PS3 or Xbox 360 experience. It's doubtful that they'll need to use the latter of those two, but it's enough to give rise to rumors that Sony's cooking up a current-gen installment in their decade-old action franchise.

But wait, there's more -- adding further fuel to the Filter flames is an entry on the Credits page of digital content creation company PCB Productions. About a quarter of the way down the page, the company acknowledges their mo-cap work for Syphon Filter 5, a PS3 title coming out of, you guessed it, Sony Bend. This one ranks pretty high on the likelihoodometer -- we'll be waiting with bated breath to see if Sony will confirm Gabe's triumphant return to home consoles.

screen looks like it's from one of the early levels of LS, actually... on the what... St. Helen or something? Whatever ship ummm... Cordell had the something or other device on and Bitar attacked.
That's right, I have a very good memory for pointless details. (All off the top of my head =p)

even if u dont GET UR ps3 soon it still wont come out for another year, the game is not even 100% announced yet, its probaly not even started, by the time its done it will realise in another year.. so prob 2 years it wud come out so ur fine

Sweet! Can't wait. That screenshot is definitely from LS. You can tell because there are at least three types of uniforms (on the people) and CO will only let you use two at a time. (one for each side) Plus, In the event that its a sabotage mission (which allows team leaders), there is no leader using the uniform of the blond-haired guy in the blue shirt. ;)

I have done some research on this.... I truly believe they are make a SF game for the PS3... In fact they had a release date at 1 time it was 12/04/2006... Don't know why they canceled. But here is a link... http://ps3.ign.com/objects/142/14221450.html
