i will be typing up simple ways for you those of you that are new to the hacking community or those who dont wana leech and wana become a skilled hacker

i will be giving these tutorials in terms of nitepr since it is the easiest hacking tool

Game: Syphon Filter Dark Mirror
Hack: INF AMMO
Basicaly what we are doing to find this code is to search in hexadecimal the #of bullets u have
Steps:
1St Start a game up
2nd using nitepr go to [SEARCHER] and search ur #of bullets in ur clip
3rd exit nitepr Shoot 1 or 2 shots
4th research new value
5th repeat steps 3 and 4 until 1 - 2 results
then click on the address nitepr found click X and it will come up saying new cheat 0 and will say address and value, you can then go to the value and raise/Lower it when satisfied press X again and go to [Cheater] press square on ur new code (make sure u have enabled nitepr codes) if you wish your ammo to be locked at a set value go to [PRX] -> Cheat Hz and set it to 15/1000 by pressing right on the dpad once ther you go inf ammo.
but since ammo is DMA if you die or the game ends the adress where ammo is stored will shift and you will need to go back to step 1...

*DMA -When a code is said to be DMA that means it gets shifted and is not allways in one adress
*Hexadecimal = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F



OR if you are a complete n00b, heres a tut in cheatmaster
Hacking is more creativity than technical know-how. All you need is a psp that is running a custom firmware (or devhook), a program of your choice, and an official Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror UMD (if you plan on hacking the online).

To have a custom firmware, most likely you need to downgrade. If you are running a official firmware that is up to (and including) version 3.50 then you are looking good =)

The downgrade for above is only for version 3.50 BUT if you have a firmware less than that, just upgrade to 3.50 and downgrade. Dont worry about bricking, you have about a 1% chance of bricking (but if you do, im not responsible).

So, if you have downgraded your psp, you now need to upgrade. If you are asking a question along the lines of "why the hell do i need to update? Didnt i just downgrade? wtf are you talking about?" the reason you need to update NOW is because you arent going to use a official sony firmware, you will be using a custom firmware that has definetly earned the tag "custom". Depending on what firmware (or F/W) you use, you can change the icons, the waves (in the background when you dont have a saved wall paper), enable having waves with a saved background, and much, much more. For now, we are going to stick with the hacking. There are many different custom firmwares out now, mine being 3.40 oe - a (oe stands for Open Edition, meaning that the F/W is completely open to the user. The -a stands for the revision of the F/W. In the past, a man by the alias " Dark_AleX " had made updates to a custom firmware. for example one of them was 3.02oe-a to 3.02-b, in this update you were able to watch movies in a better quality than on previous custom F/W [this better movie quality is now in all versions above 3.02oe-b]). The firmware that I am going to promote now is 3.40 LE (leaked edition), for this will make things easier when enabling certain files that you will learn about later. For this tutorial though, ill keep it "n00b friendly" meaning that you wont have to worry about messing anything up. Go here for the easy update: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1134
what that easy update does is install all the files you need to use 3.40oe-a, all you need to do is plug in your psp and follow the simple instructions!

Now that you should be running a custom firmware, download Cheatmaster from here: http://dl.qj.net/CheatMaster-v0.5-Ha...9987/catid/114
also included with cheatmaster is a guide that will help you if you have any questions about my tutorial. =p Inside the cheatmaster file, youll see a CM English. Click it (unless you would rather have chinese >=0) inside the CM Enlgish, click that file. It should open up and have a file called Cheatmaster.prx or something of the like. Have your psp connected to the computer, with usb enabled, and make a folder called SEPLUGINS if it is not allready there. copy Cheatmaster.prx inside that folder. then inside the SEPLUGINS folder right click, then click new, then text document. copy this into the text document: ms0:/SEPLUGINS/Cheatmaster.prx
then save the text document as GAME.

Dont worry, its almost over! now turn off your psp, then hold R as you turn it on. You should see a blue screen that has a bunch of options. Click plugins, then lick on Cheatmaster.prx to ENABLE it. if you did not see the cheatmaster.prx in your plugins screen, then go back and make sure you did everything right.

This is the fun part =)load up a game of your choice, then press the music note button on your psp. you should see a blue screen pop up that has a bunch of nifty things that you have no clue about. click exit to game. woot! you just opened your haxing program!

After you are done celebrating, go into a level of a game (ill talk syphon filter style because that game is muy muy popular) say you are at the first level, refinery. look at your ammo count. remember that number. now open cheatmaster (WOOOT!!!) and click search value. now put in how much ammo you have. it will take a sec, when it tells you how many results, exit to the game, then shoot some bullets. say you had a clip with 30 shots, make it go to whatever u want except for 30 (it wouldnt hurt, but you wont lose results that way . YES YOU WANT TO LOSE RESULTS) so you have 30 shots, make it 27, now search 27 in the search value of cheatmaster, obviouls click search again. keep on rotating till you have a few results. now say you have 5 results left, hit start when it tells you how many results you have. now it should tell you to make a name for results, hit start, a new thing should say auto byte and someother stuff, just hit start, then hit start again, when it says input value, type 100 and lock it. now try firing your weapon. WOOOT YOU SHouLD HAVE 100 SHOTS!! & ITS UNLIMITED!!! Unfortuently like i said earlier, it only stays this way until you die =(... so if you are goood, and you wish to turn to the dark side >=) then it shouldnt be a problem

ok i activated cheatmaster.prx after holding r when i turned on my psp then i went into the game and clicked the music note button and nothing happened. Do i have to turn off Nite Pr. My friend uses both at the same time so it shouldnt b a problem.
