Probably the easiest way is to find out your mobo version is to use PSP Tool, downloadable here: http://psp.dashhacks.com/downloads/psp-tool-v100
Once you open that up, go to About, then System Information, then on the third page it'll be the first entry in the left column. You can check the result against the chart here: http://cdn.trickyways.com/wp-content...rd-model-4.jpg. If your mobo says yes in the CHA section you can flash a permanent cfw. As you can see in the chart, the only mobos that can't be flashed permanently are the 88v3 and 90v2. So if you don't have either of those you should be good to go. And if you do decide to try upgrading, the utility that flashes the permanent cfw part will check the mobo version as well and not attempt to run if you have one of the two (I checked haha)
It does sound like you have one of the completely hackable versions. But check things out, and if that doesn't work, can't you use hellcat's flasher to revert?
