How do put images on GIMP?

Help me please.

push Ctrl O to open and select an image.

That didnt work for some reason

There's no file > open
or something?

No it just wont open a image no matter what i try.

Try dragging it in.
Save the pic to your desktop, click, hold and drag it in the gimp window.

Or, open a new doc in gimp and paste the pic (copy from somewhere)

Kinda like photoshop but free I think.

Free, And lower quality and fewer options. Effects and stuff.
Its pretty good if you cant get PS though.

But then i went to PS.
Tried out gimp here and there,
Not too bad :P
