-Once you are holding square down you have a couple seconds to grab the mic. If you don't grab it after a couple seconds let it go and hold it down again.

The reason for this is the ISO/CSO/UMD you are using. the addy seems to shift around from iso to iso depending on whats ripped. I could write a tut on how to find the code and edit the sub so it points to the right area but I am too lazy so I'll simply tell you what CSO I am using.
