Replacement slim part

Okay so my freind has a 2000 slim and he told mw it woudn't charge i told him to see if the light turns orange, if he can turn it on was ac cabble, and if the little stick was broken. It wasnt any of that so i told him he needs to get a replacement part.

So what i want to know is what is the part that needs replacing, the website to order from, and how to replace it.

get another battery, see if it charges if it does u need a new battery....they are rather cheap 30 bucks at most?

k mart was like 15-20 i forgot

never mind i told him it try a different charger and it turns out that was the problem
