ok, i downgraded to 5.00m33..then 4.01///when i try to do it to 3.90 it doesnt work.....im doing it on xp..i drag it to the root.....throw in pandora and the backligth doesnt even turn on...just the green light..

just use hellcats recovery flasher, i think you can do it.
i use hellcat recovery to downgrade any firmware i have downgrade like a lot
