how long before the surgery before you couldnt eat, 24 hours? when i went in for like my third eye surgery they told me i couldnt eat for 24 hours, so that day i went and had dinner at like 3 and i didnt get to eat till the next day at 5pm. little shy of your 72 but i know how you feel
