Sony Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that the platform holder initially flirted with the idea of including twin analogue sticks on the PSPgo, though ultimately decided to abandon the idea as a result of backwards compatibility.

We also felt, like many users, that we wish we had a second analogue on the PSP,” Yoshida told GameInformer. “But we are talking about the mid-life cycle of this platform, and the PSPgo is designed to be perfectly compatible with the PSP-3000 and all the games that released before that,” he added.

“So we had a very serious discussion about this particular subject, but we decided not to add a second analogue, and some of the developers are doing quite a nice job translating the second analogue functionality to different buttons. We didn’t want to divert their efforts either.”

PSPgo differs fundamentally from previous iterations of the handheld in that it ditches the UMD format in favour of digital-based content. In addition, the revamped gaming platform is 16 percent lighter and 35 percent smaller than the PSP-3000.

The pspgo doesn't have dual analogs. The thing I posted says it nearly had them. Sony decided not too.
Says here in 3rd paragraph

You can add one and wire it to the triangle, square, x, and circle.
