PlayStation Store Blocked on Custom Firmware 5.00 M33; Continues Working on 5.50 GEN-A

So I was reading around the Internet that Custom Firmware 5.00 M33 users were just blocked from accessing the PlayStation Store. Since I have two PSPs I thought I'd check this out for myself... I dug up my old PSP-1000 and upgraded it to 5.00 M33-6 (from 3.90 M33). With that I tried accessing the PSN store and likewise on my PSP-2000, which is already running 5.50 GEN-A.

5.00 M33-6: It's true. You are now prompted with, "A system software update for the PSP system is required. For update methods, refer to the instructions for the PSP system." And even with spoofing your version using the ol' version.txt method, you're still denied access.

5.50 GEN-A: Keep on. You're still in business.

Er... Yes old news, which is why DA made the an update to 5.00M33-2 originally..
There's a fix for it already since months ago... You just need to copy the stuff from one of the files or w/e, I don't remember exactly...

Wasn't sure if there was a new fix for this or not. Hopefully I can find that file.

im running 5.0 M33-6 and i have no problems with using psn. when i upgraded to 5.50 GEN-A i couldn't use it though. so yea

no ill try it again when i go back to my moms after the fourth, forgot my psp. when this all start happening? cuz psn was working for me on tuesday

Who cares Sony never puts anything in the PS Store that's worth getting..

I dnt think sony is blocking us because of cfw
coz then they wuld also blok 5.50 gen
sony updated psn with new features such as autologin and the video store
and thats why u cany use psn because 5.00 m33 doesnt hav those features.

i dont care about psn as I dony use it anyways.
but the new update doesnt even let you play combat ops or resistance.
the only way to fix this is to update to 5.50 Gen-a or tthe nre gen-b
atleast until dax releases an update
