Welcome Welcome Welcome to another Lerit50 production :]

Today I will show you how to make a pandora battery, MMS (magic memory stick) and install CFW 3.71 m33 onto your phat psp

This tutorial will be made into three major chunks

1. Softmodding you battery (pandoraize)
2. Making a MMS
3. Putting it all together

So let's get started!

Part I: Softmodding your psp battery

HOW TO SOFTMOD YOUR BATTERY
In this part of my tutorial, I will be showing you how to softmod you battery
Frequently asked questions:
Q- How do I know if my battery is compatible?
A- http://psp-homebrew.eu/images/pandoras-vguide-full.jpg

Q- Is this safe?
A- Mostly. The only problem I ran into was accidently touching the motherboard of the battery with metal (DO NOT DO THAT, YOU WILL SHORT OUT YOUR BATTERY MOST LIKELY!) Thankfully, after the smoke had cleared I was able to still use my battery as a Pandora battery.

Q- Which battery did you use?
A- The original psp battery that came with my phat. (3.6v, 1800mAh, PSP model 110) So for the sake of this tutorial I will reference to mine. If you have a compatible battery from looking at the picture up top, then you will still most likely be able to mod it the same way I do.

IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE QUESTION ASK BEFORE GOING AHEAD AND MODDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOFTMODDING
1)Take your knife/exact knife and CAREFULLY open your battery. Run if along the side of your battery where the lines are. If done correctly, you should hear a clicking or snapping noise, meaning the plastic is breaking. This is what your battery should look like if you have removed it correctly--- http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g123/lerit50/IMG_0561.jpg and http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g123/lerit50/IMG_0560.jpg

2)Once done, look for the connecter labled (ICO4 or CO4) (depending on your battery)

3)Next take a mechanical pencil with no lead out and CAREFULLY remove the 5th pin (the pins start from the bottom left and up. So pin 5 should be the bottom one on the right.....depending on how you hold your battery.)

4)Put you battery back together

Part II: Making a MMS

First, what is a Magic memory stick, or MMS?
·It is a memory stick that has all the appropriate boot files that, if used together with a Pandora battery, will install custom firmware, or CFW, onto your psp

So how do I make it?
·To make a MMS you will need to follow this tutorial!

THINGS YOU NEED

* A memory stick that is at or more than 512mb but no more than 2gb
* A card reader or usb cable that connects to the psp
* A brain (that was a joke)

http://dl.qj.net/TOTALNewbi-easyInstaller-PSP-Tools-Utilities-(on-PC)/pg/12/fid/14749/catid/193
1. ^^^^To start… download the file from the link above ^^^^

What this does

* Installs all the appropriate boot files without any hassle
* Will install cfw 3.71 m33 on your psp when used together with a Pandora battery

2. Extract the files to your desktop using WinRAR or another .RAR extractor

3. In the extracted files, find the program called Start.exe

4. Follow the instructions in the cmd window to make your magic memory stick.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

* Back up all your files on your memory stick to your computer (copy + paste to a folder you designate)
* Formatting your memory stick after doing the backup (this can be done by going into system settings on your psp)
* In order for this to work you will need a pandora battery

Part III: Putting it all together
Now that you have successfully created you Pandora battery and MMS, it is time to get CFW 3.71 m33!
To do so, put your Pandora battery back into your psp BEFORE, putting in your MMS (magic memory stick). Next put in your MMS.
If you have done it correctly, both your Wifi and memory stick light should start flashing and your psp will turn on
(If not then try your MMS and then your Pandora battery [reverse order])
Follow the onscreen instructions and !TAH DAH! You have CFW!
To make sure, you to your system information on your psp afterwards to check out your firmware.
Also, UMD autostart is on, so just hit home and go to your psp XMB if your UMD starts
After you have rebooted, your screen will be very very very very white. Just go and change your theme color to make it not so bright.
YEY YOU HAVE CFW
