Ok so my family has Verizon Fios, and my dad is like the administrator of it. He can set the WEP key, and other security stuff. We have 5 computers connected to it either using a wireless device or a cable. 4 Laptops are wirelessly connected, and me and my sister get on our psp's on this one router. We all are able to get on at the same time...

until 10 pm.

My dad decided to "limit" the internet at exactly 10 pm. & this is only for me and my sister on our psp. Somehow he makes us lose internet at that time, and it's ONLY us. Everyone else on their computer/laptop can get on. I heard that he doesn't actually cut the internet completely off for us, but just weakens the signal so much that we can't fully connect to the internet. But still..it got worse recently. Before one of us were able to get on, but now neither of us can.

So I'm asking if there is a way to get past this security stuff..like somehow get his password to the router settings or something else idk..

It's really frustrating & I hope there is a way around this

try going into ur web browser on comp and typing in 192.168.1.1 in, and it should take you to the Router config, and if it asks for a pw type in admin (it's the default pw, might now work)

That might not be the right IP to enter, depends on the router.
And I doubt the default PW is in place...

Anyway, press the reset button, it will reset all settings and set the PW back to admin... Then you can mess with it...

No, if you hold the reset button it will go to default settings and remove the WEP key and security stuff, so then he might find out.... but try what i said, then maybe you can change the settings.

Also check what type of router it is cause some use different ip's.

The IP address is just about the same of what you said, except the last 2 numbers are 1.8

you could also figure out the mac address of one of the computers that doesn't get kicked off and use macspoofer to pretend to be that computer so you won't get kicked off. you can find macspoofer for psp here (http://www.codinghs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4662) for a computer, use google. i might upload one for computer later.
