Fireworks and Photoshop!

Well i am download off torrent adobe masters which has cs4 of both of them. I though photoshop was a rebranded version of fireworks when macromedia sold over to adobe. But obviously its not.

Can anyone tell me the difference btewwen them and the advantages?
