if it were to be bricked, there would be a black screen, the screen's backlight would turn on, and all you would see if a illuminated black screen, so i would recommend, update your PSP's custom firmware, and if that doesnt help, try this but only as a last attempt!! open up your PSP (if your unsure on how to do this, either ask tacticalmobius in the mod section, or check out some of his posts, they are GREAT), ok now that its opened try and clean out under all the buttons that DONT work(why fix somethings that broken? lol) if that doesnt work....new psp

not necessarily... with a semi-brick (which i think you have because you can enter recovery) all you need to do is run the recover pbp thats on the recovery menu

It was doing that but when I held and the off switch I was able to turn it back on and then when I was able to turn it back on and then It wouldn't move or anything and stuff but it started working again so I'm confused.....

Try this.
This also happened to mine.
Have you recently dropped it?
Because i dropped mine and heres what happened.
Its not frozen.
If you have a game in when you turn it on it trys to load it before it does anything.
Chances are... Its having a difficulty reading the disk ethier from the disk being messed up or the reader being messed up.

The games loads its just that when I try to listen to music go on the internet or do anything form my XMB it won't move....Yes I did drop....I took it apart put it back together and it started working again it makes no sense.
