Alright. I'm finished checking out all of the features of the PSP-3000. Right now its available in Silver for $199 and it comes in a Ratchet and Clank Entertainment pack. Ships with firmware version 4.20.

The Mic works really great, I called my home phone with Skype and it sounded crystal clear. I also called my friend to test it out and he said that it sounded clearer than on my home phone. That mightve been because I was using VOIP, though.

I like the paint job a lot better. Instead of a very glossy surface, its more matte. It feels better in your hands.

The 3000 has the option to change the Color Space. Normal is the look of the PSP-2000, and Wide makes the colors much deeper. The difference is really amazing.

USB Auto Connect is a cool feature too. When you plug a USB cable in, it automatically scrolls over to the USB Connection option.

If you have a Slim, you don't need one of these. If you have a phat, i'd recommend buying one. Dark_AleX is saying that the motherboard is hackable, so with some work, we might be able to get CFW. i just decided there was no real point in writing this review, because i'm sure you all knew about all of the features. i'm not going to delete it though because I took 5 minutes to write this.

Arnt we all tact :) haha. mee too. but my first prioity is a regular one for christmas because i need one to have fun hacking :) but then ill prolly get the 3000 next year in may.

i got teh psp1000 and psp2000, seems this time imma get a ps3 :G
i found one for $280 with 2 dualshock 3's, a mgs4 game, all the cables, and a 80 gb ps3

i'm still deciding on whether or not im going to install CFW on it. I really want to check out the PSN support of the new 5.00 fw that came out today. i want to be clean as well. I have a PSP-2000 with cfw that works just fine for me if i ever need a free game.

haha, psp3K is crap, no1 heard that the load's or what ever the screen uses...it leaves lines, ill post it in psp chat xD

Im playing Resistance w/o hacks, gotta practice to keep up with WS. As for the 3000, dont think ill get one, my 2000 does pretty much everything the 3000 does aside from the mic and screen quality... but i have a mic, and i have an hd tv to play my slim on so yeah... probably gonna wait until next year for the psp 4000.......

i dont think it will make it to psp4K would be pritty cool thought, ibet it would be a touch screen xD

it would be useless... bcuz they cant implement it into games since they wouldnt work with other psps... rheyd have to make an actual psp2...

the lines do show up in the screen when a fast object moves by. thats pretty annoying but i can live with it.

not necessarily. couldnt they have it so when you hit the d-pad, it sends the same signal as every other psp? someone correct me if im wrong.


The only thing the new screen does is show up better in like sun light and stuff right? it isn't really a better quality screen it is?

the screen has a wider color pallet, with deeper colors. you can turn it off to. it really doesnt reduce glare outside. I did notice that when i play inside, the glare from windows is less noticable, and i can even play with the lights in the room on, which used to annoy me.
