Hey guys, well this tutorial will hopefully teach you everything about hacking your psp. I will try my best to answer all your questions. Also, I will be using files and things from other people, so i will give full credit
This thread will updated many times, hopefully, whenever I gather more information. So this will stay new.
Requirements: A psp with a official firmware(fw) of 3.50 or lower, Or a psp with a custom firmware(cfw)- Any custom firmware should be fine - if you dont have any of this you will either need a friend with a hacked psp or a psp with a fw of 3.50 or lower--If you dont have friends with that, bad news, your gonna have to buy a magic memory stick and a pandora battery
Let's Begin:
-This first part will be for people with a firmware of 3.50 or lower
1. Download this file- http://www.psp-vault.com/UpDownload-req-getit-lid-2123.psp
2. Once the file is downloaded it should be EBOOT.PBP, if it isnt rename it to that
3. Now plug your psp into your computer via usb cable. open up PSP>GAME folder- this is where you put EBOOT.PBP
4. Unplug your psp and go to the menu screen-scroll over to game-look for the new update
5. Now click X on the update and update your psp
6. Once the update is completed go over to settings>system settings>system information. Your version should now say 3.71 M33. if it doesnt scroll down to the bottom I'll have a "TROUBLESHOOTING SECTION"
7. If your psp version is 3.71 M33, you want to format your memory stick. Make sure you back up your files somewhere.
8. Now download this file- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VULETHV0
9. Once you have downloaded, it right click on the file, and click extract. Extract it to your Hard Drive(C:\ Drive).
10. Once you have done that plug your psp back into the computer
11. Now go to your psp drive(start>my computer), dont click it, now right click on it and select format
12. Now change exactly what I say----Capacity: 949 MB---File System: FAT---Allocation unit size: Default Allocation Size---and click on quick format
13. Once you have done that extract/ un zip files to C:\pandora folder. How you do that is right click and select extract files. This should bring up a window. Look at the top of the window where the text bar is, type this: C:\Pandora Folder. Then click OK
14. Now click start, then click run and type in CMD and hit enter. Once it is up type in this: cd C:\ And hit enter
15. Then, type in: cd Pandora Folder. Once you've done that type in: cd mspformat, and hit enter.
16. Now that you've done that, minimize the screen. Go to start>My computer. See where it says removable disk? ok look for a letter that follows that. Mine is F yours might be different. Anyways bring cmd back up and type in mspformat (whatever your letter is, Make sure it is Capitalized) and hit enter
17. You should see some writing if you have done this correctly. Read it and type Y for yes and it will format your psp the correct way.
18. Now your almost done! take your psp out of usb mode, take the memory stick out and put it back in. Now go back into usb mode.
19. Go to My Computer, and Click your psp drive. Once you are there you should see no files or folders. Right click and make a new folder and name it PSP
20. Go into the PSP folder and make a GAME folder, now open that up. OK, now minimize that and open up your pandora folder on your C:\ Drive. Now copy these folders into your GAME folder---pbfirm_install%---pbfirm_install---pandora_battery---pandora_battery%
21. Once you have done those steps, take your psp out of usb mode and then scroll over to game then scroll down to where it says memory stick.
22. Click X on the one that says Pandora's Battery Firm. Installer. There should be a screen that pops up with writing on it, click X again and it should return you to your psp menu.
23. Now go back into usb mode and open up your PSP drive and the pandora folder on your C:\ drive.
24. OK, when you open your PSP drive you should see some new files...one of those files will be named "msipl.bin". Righ click on it and select copy. Now, go into the panora folder and open up msinst-this is where you paste msipl.bin
25. Once you have followed those steps open up cmd again (start>run:cmd)
26. Now follow what I type, cd C:\ (hit enter), cd Pandora Folder, cd msinst, msinst (whatever your psp drive/ removable disk letter is) msipl.bin
27. Once you hit enter there should be a couple rows of writing snd at the end it says "Are You Sure [Y]" type y for yes and hit enter.
28. Congrats you have created a magic/jigkick memory stick, but you still have a little more to do
29. OK, now go to your psp menu screen, scroll over to game>memory stick. this time click Pandora's battery creator
30. There should be a black screen that comes up, if you think you will ever want to turn your pandora battery back into a normal one click triangle. This will save the file eeprom.bin to your memory stick. When you click triangle it will exit you to your psp menu screen. Go back and do step 29 again except for this time click X and TADAA! You have just succesfuly made a pandora battery and completely hcked your PSP!
