HELP!!!With Mic!

Ok i just bought a PSP Mic for my PSP To use on SFDM and NO I DONT HAVE PSP SLIM!!! here is a picture of the headset i got

And i also got a Remote Control this is the one i got

but wen i connect every thing together and i go on SFDM I Say can u hear me and they say no can u guys tell me if i bought the rong remote or Headset because i starting to get pissed off.

If so, that does look like the corrent mic. Where did you get the remote from?

I had the same prob once and it turns out the remote was not made by sony and therefore was not wired for mic use. (only as remote control)

I ended up taking it apart and resoldering it to work as an adapter.

wait sometimes they mess with you cuz they did the same thing with me. dont ask if they can hear you. just go in and start talking and if they cant hear you they wont say anything.
they messed with me for so long. and i have the same mic and remote as you and it works fine.

The Headset is universal, and the remote looks right, is it possible there's a problem with the PSP itself?
MAybe something is just broken?
Or maybe people are being Asses and won't answer you.
If you're using it in Syphon, are you sure you're able to use the mic at that time? You have to see the mic next to your name or on the screen, because sometimes t gets blocked.

the mic head set part is a universal piece but the remote is were the trouble starts!
in order to tell if you have the right remote look at the head(part that connects to the PSP) if its slanted i think that's the PSP-2000(SLiM), if its not slanted its for the PSP-1000(FAT). now if you have the correct pieces go into a game, and just talk, they will tell u "o i cant here you" in chat or over mic! good luck!

u should just try using ur mic and saying "hey ____ what's ur rank?" to some person who has a mic in the room. if they reply and say like T3 or something, then u know they can hear u. and if u keep talkin and they dont reply or anything and say STOP TALKIN U DONT HAVE A MIC then u know u dont have one lol

nope, it doesnt work, we played a match and i couldnt hear him, neither could armed|||killa, and with that new remote pic u added, id say its a fake, or it just doesnt have the right peices to work as a mic...ask tact how he got his to work! he said something about sodering something in his....its up a few posts on the first page

What game do you use the mic for?
If its for Dark Mirror...its possible that their is a Mic Block.
Which someone's router mics block cuz of lag or something....like me.
but my mic broke (it got stuck and tangled up in my printer which also caused the printer to break =\ )

I bought the official Sony headphones and remote and it still doesn't work.

u got a camcorder or a dig cam? if you do make a vid recording the whole mic and ill inspect to see, i think its fake because mine has writing on the back, if its fake u can sue or call sony and tell sony the store you bought it from and they can remove all psp products from that store.

No its official sony. I sent the fake one back and i got the real one. It has writing on the back.

Again, you don't know what you're saying...
I'm using my old one for phat with my slim, works 100% fine.
The only thing that you need that's different is the remote, not the mic.

if u have a slim, u can buy a skype mic, and it shud work fine ;)
