For instance, we've already heard that Sony has supposedly decided upon the specs for the PS4, which quickly incited a firestorm of discussion. And now, in speaking to PlayStation: The Official Magazine, freelance designer Tai Chiem has provided us with some Prototype pics of what Sony's machine could look like. It's all sorts of futuristic with plenty of style and panache, and a definite departure from your standard PlayStation designs of the past.
Mock-ups include the possibility of a flexible touchscreen, a technology that "is currently being developed" and therefore could find its way into the PS4. Chiem says Samsung is already in the process of producing transparent screens and while he says the idea is still "cost prohibitive," it could still become a reality "in the next five to ten years." For our part, this space-age design is definitely a head-turner, but of course, it's hardly official. We expect it'll be a good long while before Sony offers anything official concerning the PS4.
Here's some more pics of the mock PS4:

Damn dude...
Like, pretty small screen for me to play a game on :P But it's still badass...
Although, whatever the final version of the PS4 may be, it'll most likely be much different.

Well seeing as is all the "Mockups" are round... I think sony might be shooting for a round design when the PS4 comes around

Good point, not sure about that because they never said anything more or related to that.

Like I said, don't believe anything until it's official. Until you see an electronic entertainment site such as IGN or such do a hands on analysis...it's just speculation.

Who cares about IGN. It was official from SONY, and unveiled at E3 back in 2005. The boomerang controller WAS meant to be the official controller for the PS3.
They changed their minds, but it WAS meant to be it, it wasn't some fake concept controller, it REALLY WAS going to be the controller.

They didn't change their minds because it looked stupid, they changed their minds because of so many people saying it looked stupid.
Personally, I liked it, and who knows, it could have been great, could have been horrible, but oh well, I like what we currently have as well =]

No...it was changed for multiple reasons. Take a look.

And IGN was just an example of one of many reliable independent electronic entertainment resources.
